In the
beginning...
This clinic comes from the construction of a kit-bashed building called
the J Powell Co. Most of the photos will be of the two wall sections
shown left and right, as they are the most prominent on the model.
The Powell building is an old manufacturing building that has seen it's
better days. Thus, I wanted to model it as a very weathered run down
structure. All of the steps in this clinic are relevant to modeling any
building, you'll just have to decide for yourself how heavy you want the
weathering to be. One thing to remember- do everything light at
first; you can always darken something later (paint, mortar, chalk, etc.),
but it is hard to lighten things.
Most of the pictures in the clinic will enlarge if you click on
them. They are pretty large as I wanted to show the detail at a good
size- so you may have to be patient on the loading.
