A quick Stop in Dubuque

Angela and I decided to explore Dubuque a bit last time we drove through.  The fall colors were of course amazing, and we ran across a lot of great older houses and buildings.  We also ran across Mid-American Architectural Salvage, which was a treat for me!  So, here are a few pictures.  Dubuque has a lot of potential - they just need to keep working on urban redevelopment.

The Fenlon Place Elevator area is very nice now.  Many of the buildings have been redone and the Elevator itself is a great piece of history.  The views from the top are amazing on a clear day.  (they aren't too bad on a cloudy day either!)   We usually stop in and take a ride to the top if we're in Dubuque.  It's a fun side trip!
